(Last name A-K): In person Monday, Tuesday. Remote Learning Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

(Last name L-Z): Remote Learning Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. In person Thursday Friday.

Remote Learning: Google Classroom

On days when students are not at school, students will have access to instruction. This may include live streaming, instructional videos, independent learning through Google Classroom, and individualized instruction before or after school hours (8:00-9:45am or 2:15-3:30pm). You will find what to do during your remote days on each teacher's classroom. They will post their Weekly Learning Plans by Friday each week on google classroom and this Weekly Learning Site.

Optional In-Person Cub Support Time (1:15-2:15)

Students can choose to stay at school to work with teams of teachers. There will be time for lunch. An activity bus with limited routes will be available to students at 2:15.

FINDING YOUR WAY

The district website has BUS STOPS AND TIMES available for families.

CKMS Teacher Maps will be handed out to students on your first day! You can also request one from your school counselor before the start of school.

Arrival

Health Screening begins at 9:45. There will be no early building access and students need to be off campus promptly following our student support time at 2:15.

If being driven by a parent/guardian, use the front drop-off loop

  • Stay in your car until a staff member greets you & takes your temperature (must be below 100.4 to enter)

  • Enter through the front door and make your way to your 1st/2nd period classroom and complete your Student Attestation Form.


If riding a bus, walk through the courtyard and wait outside the doors to the commons for staff to greet you and take your temperature (must be below 100.4 to enter).

  • Stay 6 feet away from others while waiting.

  • Enter through the commons and make your way to your 1st/2nd period classroom and complete your Student Attestation Form.


If walking to school, walk to the front door and wait at the flagpole for staff to greet you and take your temperature (must be below 100.4 to enter).

If your child exhibits symptoms at school or when arriving via walking, riding the bus or riding with a CKHS student driver: As per regulations, a student exhibiting any of the COVID symptoms, will wait in an observation room until a parent or approved emergency contact is able to pick them up. We ask that you update all emergency contacts and are available to be contacted at all times of the day while your child is at school. An observation room is a designated space for observing a student that is experiencing symptoms until they can be picked up from school.



Dismissal

  • Students will be released from their classes in a staggered format to facilitate social distancing. In order to keep students and families safe, please stay in the car line and refrain from passing cars in the parking lot and driveway.

Food

  • There will not be a charge for our meal service.

  • Students may bring water bottles.

  • No food or drink will be allowed in the classrooms, please make sure students finish their breakfast and drinks before arriving.


Supplies

  • Students should bring their charged Chromebook, earbuds, planner, pen/pencils, and any other supplies they will need for their work based on guidance from teachers.

  • If your family needs help getting school supplies, please contact their school counselor.


Hallways

  • Stay to the right

  • Keep moving

  • Single File & 6 feet Apart

Bathrooms

  • Only use bathroom during class (not passing period)

  • Sign out of class before you go

  • Bathroom occupancy is limited to 2 people

  • Wait on designated spots in the hallway

Places You Go: The Office/Counseling/Library

Office

  • Come to call home, get first aid, take medication

  • You'll need a hall pass

  • Enter through vestibule

  • Only 2 students at a time

Counseling Office

  • Email your counselor if you need to talk to them.

  • They will get you from your class and chat either in a flex area or bring you to the counseling office.

Library

  • All library services are online.

  • Books requested through Destiny will be delivered to you.

  • Books are returned in the drop box outside the library.

Parent Expectations

Parent dropping off/picking up a student during the day:

If you need to drop off or pick your child up anytime during the school day you will need to call the office: 360-662-2300. Please call ahead if you are able so we have time to get a message to your child’s classroom. You will not be able to enter the building.

Dropping off forgotten items or deliveries during the day:

Due to COVID safety protocols please do not drop off any items to your child during the school day except for an emergency. If you need to pick something up for your child for remote learning please call ahead so we can plan accordingly so you do not have to wait long at the curb.

COVID PROTOCOLS/INFORMATION

Health Screening

Attestations: Students will be required to complete a daily attestation of their health. Each student will complete an attestation to attest that they do not have any of the identified COVID symptoms. The attestation will be completed via Classlink on the students’ Chromebook daily. It is titled CK Student Attestation From, you can have your child show you on your Chromebook, please ONLY complete this form on days your child is coming to CKMS.

When should your child stay home: Your child will need to stay home if you are unable to say no to all portions of the attestation and/or if your child was not feeling well the night before or in the morning. We need to err on the side of caution.

Health Screening upon arrival: Students will have their temperature taken upon arrival. Temperatures must be below 100.4 to stay at school.

Masks

  • All students must wear cloth face coverings while at school.

  • Masks must be double layered.


Social Distancing

Social Distancing

  • Students and staff will practice social distancing and remain 6 feet apart from others at all times.

  • This is important to remember while walking into the building, through the building, waiting in any lines or for assistance from staff and while moving about the classroom.

Assigned Seating - Students will be assigned a seat in the classroom. Assigned seats will remain the same unless changed by a teacher or administrator.
