October 5, 2026

  • Track and Fastpitch athletes – reminder that your sports photos are today after school. Make sure you have your uniform ready. 
  • Only 3 weeks until Boys Basketball and Girls Soccer start up! Make sure you sign up on Final Forms and have a physical on file at the ASB office. 

 

October 2, 2026

  • Interested in trying out for Boys Basketball or Girls Soccer? Make sure you sign up on Final Forms before the end of the month! Also, make sure you have a current physical on file at the ASB office. If you don’t have one, you cannot try out or participate. 

 

October 1, 2026

  • Today Fastpitch has a home game against Curtis! The game will start at 4:30 so call your parents to see if you can stop by and support our Cubs!
  • Track athletes! Tomorrow is your last day to purchase your track hoodie. You can pay in person at the ASB window or your parents can pay online. 

 

September 30, 2026

  • You may notice a lot of people wearing Orange today – today marks the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. Around this time of year starting in the 1800s until 1996, many children were taken from their homes and families and placed into Indigenous Residential Schools. NDTR and Orange Shirt Day was established as an observation day officially on September 30th, 2013 as part of an effort to promote awareness and education about the events of the Indigenous Residential Schools. It is now a time for communities to come together in the spirit of reconciliation and hope for generations of children to come. 
  • Big congratulations of K.H. for being our Artist of the Month for September! K.H is being recognized for her creativity, artistic growth, and strong work ethic in the art classroom. She consistently puts thought and effort into her work and brings a unique perspective to her art. Please join us in congratulating K.H. on this achievement! 
  • Two of our awesome clubs are starting up in a couple weeks! The Crochet and Knit and the Cooking Club will be starting up on the 14th! Sign up on Final Forms or at the ASB window. Remember, you must pay your ASB fee when joining a club. For more information, please stop by the ASB window during passing or at lunch. 
  • Don’t forget Cubs...there’s only 9 more days left until something big happens in our school...

 

September 29, 2026

  • 6th grade ASB Election voting is happening today during Advisory! 6th graders, make sure you cast your vote for who you want to represent as a spirit commissioner. 
  • Our Track team took on Poulsbo Middle yesterday and had some great finishes! There were fourteen 1st place finishes, eight 2nd place, and nine 3rd place finishes! Way to go!
  • Fastpitch has a home game today against Hawkins Middle! The game will start at 4:30 at the CK High Fastpitch field. Go support our Cubs if you can!
  • Tomorrow, don’t forget to wear an orange shirt for the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. Spread the message that Every Child Matters!

 

September 28, 2026

  • Track is leaving today to head up to North Kitsap High School to take on Poulsbo Middle! They will be dismissed at 1:00 to catch their 1:15 bus. Wish them luck when you see them in the halls!
  • 6th grade ASB election voting is happening tomorrow during Advisory!

 

September 25, 2026

  • Track athletes, you order forms for hoodies are due next week! make sure you turn them in with payment to the ASB office, or have your parents order a hoodie online. 
  • If you have not picked up your ASB card after having your photo taken in August, don’t worry, they will be put in your teachers mailboxes next week so they can hand them out during Advisory. 
  • If you’re interested in signing up for the Crochet and Knit Club or the Cooking Club, make sure you sign up on Final Forms. Have any questions?  Stop by the ASB office on Monday. 

 

September 24, 2026

  • Today there is a home Fastpitch game against John Sedgwick Middle! Game starts at 4:30 on the CK High Fastpitch field. Go cheer on our Cubs if you can!
  • Last night out Track team took on Ridgetop in our first home meet of the season! We had 31 top 3 finishers and every home athlete either had a Personal best, a Season Best, or set a new Personal Record. Way to go Cubs!
  • The lost and found is filling up more and more each day. Please look through it and take home any items that belong to you. Anything left in there will be donated throughout the year.
  • Reminder Cubs – your Cub Guide applications are due back to the counseling office by tomorrow! Make sure you turn them in!
  • If you are interested in the yearbook cover art contest please stop by Mrs. Keffer’s classroom to pick up a flyer outside her door. 

 

September 23, 2026

  • Cubs, don’t forget to pick up your Cub Guide application packet from the counseling office! They are due this Friday! Please turn in completed applications back to the counseling office. 
  • Today, Track is taking on Ridgetop in our first home meet of the season! The meet will start at 4:30 on Cougar Field at the High School. Stay after to support your friends and the entire Track and Field team!

 

September 22, 2026

  • Today is picture makeup day! If you weren’t here on Cub Connect to get your yearbook photo taken, today’s the day! You will be dismissed this morning by alphabetical order by your last name – so listen carefully. Again, this is only if you did not get your yearbook photo taken on Cub Connect night. Retakes will happen in November. 
  • Hey Cubs! Don’t forget to pick up your Cub Guide application packet from the counseling office! They are due this Friday! Please turn in completed applications back to the counseling office. 
  • Fastpitch has an away game against Marcus Whitman this afternoon. Athletes will be dismissed at 1:05 for their bus. Wish them luck when you see them in the halls!

  • Tomorrow is picture make up day! If you weren’t here on Cub Connect night in August to get your yearbook photo taken, tomorrow is your chance to get it done!
  • Did you know that we have 2 clubs starting up next month? Cooking Club and the Crochet and Knit Club will both be starting up on October 14th. Sign up on Final Forms or at the ASB office. 
    • Both clubs will meet twice a month. Anyone is welcome to join the Crochet Club. If you are interested in Cooking Club,  you have to be in 7th or 8th grade who has previously or is currently taking Food Science. If you have any questions, please stop by the ASB window during passing time or lunch.
