Thursday June 4, 2026

  • Attention awesome 8th grade students: Are you interested in dressing up and attending national business conferences? Come to the DECA informational meeting to learn more about this fabulous opportunity that is provided to Central Kitsap High School students!
  • Athletes, please make sure you turn in your uniforms to your coach by this Friday. If you don’t, a fine will be added to your account. 
  • Today is the last day to purchase a social ticket! All permission slips and payments must be made at the ASB window by 4pm today – no tickets will be sold tomorrow. All wristbands will be handed out at lunches tomorrow

 

Wednesday June 3, 2026

  • A huge congratulations to everyone that participated in last night’s choir concert! It’s amazing to see how many talented students we have here at CKMS. But also a big congratulations to Mr. Platten – this was his last event before retiring at the end of the school year, and as always, it was spectacular. 
  • Crochet Club, your final meeting of the school year is today after school!
  • There will be an ASB executive board meeting today during Advisory in the commons – all newly elected cabinet members are welcome to attend. 
  • Tomorrow is the last day to turn in your social contract and buy a ticket to Friday’s event! $6 with the ASB sticker and $8 without. It’s going to be awesome and you won’t want to miss it! Games, prizes, music, dirty soda stations, candy bags, a movie and more! Pick up a form at the ASB office. 

 

Tuesday  June 2, 2026

  • There is no Garden Club or Executive ASB meeting today
  • Tomorrow is the final Crochet Club meeting! Don’t forget to sign up for the potluck in the Crochet Club Google Classroom
  • Choir students: Remember to go to the choir room during Advisory today. Make sure you’ve checked in with your Advisory teacher, so they don’t mark you absent or if you can’t attend rehearsal today. 
  • Speaking of Choir – did you know that the final choir concert is tonight? Stop by the PAC with your friends and family to hear some amazing music. The concert starts at 7pm!
  • Cub Athletes – make sure you turn in your jerseys and gear to your coaches by this Friday, otherwise a fine will be added to your account. 
  • Only 2 more days to turn in your social contract and purchase a ticket to the last social of the school year! You’re not going to want to miss this one!
  • Yearbooks will be delivered next week and then handed out the last week of school so make sure you purchase one before we run out! Can’t remember if you or your family purchased one? Stop by and check at the ASB office. 

 

Monday  June 1, 2026

  • All students who are helping with the 5th grade visit need to report to the gym after announcements. Teachers, there is a list of students who need to report in your inbox. 
  • There is no ASB executive meeting today. 
  • You’re going to see some new and exciting faces this morning around the school – today is the 5th grade visit! From 9:30 until 11 – 5th graders from different elementary schools will be touring the school and seeing how awesome it is to be a Cub. So say hi and welcome them to our school and hype them up to be a future middle schooler!
  • Here’s your reminder to check the lost and found for any of your missing items. Any water bottles left over will be donated Wednesday. 
  • This is the week to pick up a social contract or purchase a ticket if you haven’t already! This is going to be the last social of the school year and out amazing Cheer team is hosting it. There’s going to be games, prizes, a dirty soda table, candy bags, a movie in the Library and great music. Invite your friends from school and get a ticket – you’re going to have a great time! Tickets will not be sold on the day of the event so make sure you purchase a ticket by Thursday after school. 
  • Tomorrow is the last day to purchase a Mariners ticket for the June 21st game against the Red Sox. Tell your parents you can buy them online or you can stop by the ASB office today or tomorrow by 4pm to order them. 

 

Friday May 29, 2026

  • Your CK Cross Country team ran an amazing race against 12 other teams at the League Championships yesterday! Many of our athletes achieved personal records on an incredibly crowded course. Congratulations to the entire Cross Country team for showing such great sportsmanship, grit, and effort!
  • Today is the last day of Spirit Week, so make sure you get your class color paper added to the spirit chain! It looks like 8th grade may win it all today, but there’s still a chance they could be overthrown. Make today count!
  • Father’s day is in a couple weeks. Need something cool to get dad/uncle/grandpa/or guardian? Why not go to the Mariner’s game on June 21st? It would be a great gift and the entire family can go! Get them before the June 2nd deadline at the ASB window or online. 
  • Reminder that Cheer is hosting Bingo Night at Maynards Sunday night – show up at 5:30 with your family to have some fun and support our cheer team!
  • Ready to have an awesome time at the last social of the season?! It’s next Friday right after school – there’s going to be games, pokeball basketball, great music, a movie, dirty sodas, candy bags, pizza, and more! So bring your friends from school, take photos, and have an amazing time celebrating that school is almost out for the summer. Need a social paper? Stop by the ASB office to grab one. 

 

Thursday May 28, 2026

  • Today is a big day for our spring athletes! Cross Country will be leaving at 1:45 to head to Hawkins for their Championship meet so wish them luck before they leave! 
    Volleyball faces off in the CK High main gym with varsity starting at 4:30 against Sedgwick and Football will be playing against Klahowya on the CK High field starting at 4:30 as well – JV will be playing first and the varsity game will be right after. See if you can attend both games or head over to Hawkins to cheer on all of our amazing Cubs during their last game of the season
  • 8th grade is still holding on to the lead with spirit points! Great job everyone for participating! Don’t forget that tomorrow is Twin/Multiples day or wear the color black. 

 

Wednesday May 27, 2026

  • After yesterday’s tally, it looks like 8th graders are in the lead with spirit points! Will they be able to hold on for a victory? Or will another grade take the win? Don’t forget tomorrow is School Colors day – 6th wears maroon, 7th wears gray, and 8th wears white!
  • Stop by the ASB window to pick up your social contract and purchase your ticket! The last social of the school year is happening June 5th right after school! There will be games, prizes, candy bags, dirty sodas, a movie, and more! Invite your friends at school and come have an amazing time. The deadline to purchase tickets is June 4th after school.

  • Congratulations to our JV volleyball team on their win over Klahowya last night!
  • If you missed out on watching out awesome cubs compete this spring, tomorrow is your last chance for the year! Tomorrow, Cross Country will have their Futurist/Championship meet at Hawkins, Football will face off against Klahowya at home, and Volleyball will take on Sedgwick at home. Let your parents know and see if tomorrow you can support our Cubs during their last games of the season!

 

Tuesday May 26, 2026

  • HUGE congratulations to all of our courageous Cubs and Staff that participates in our variety show on Friday! You all did an amazing job and we can’t wait to continue this tradition next year!
  • We’ve seen a big group of our Cubs kicking off Spirit Week strong! Don’t forget that tomorrow is Tropical Day, Thursday is School Colors (6th wears maroon, 7th wears gray, 8th wears white), and Friday is Twin/Multiple day or wear the color black. 
  • Today our Volleyball team leaves class at 2:00pm to head to Klahowya for their games. Wish them luck before they head out!
  • Don’t forget to purchase your Yearbook and Mariners tickets before time runs out! You can order these online or at the ASB office!
  • Did you know our last social of the school year is on June 5th and our awesome Cheer team is hosting it?! Social contracts will be handed out at lunches starting today, so take one home, have your parents or guardians sign it and bring it back to the ASB window to get a ticket. $6 with the ASB sticket on your card and $8 without. There will be great music, candy bags, dirty sodas, pokeball basketball, pizza, a movie in the Library, and more! It’s going to be a great way to celebrate the end of the school year and have a fun time with your friends. 
  • Another way you can support our Cheer team is heading over to Maynards on the 31st from 5:30 to 7:30 with your family and playing some Bingo!
  • Interested in participating gin a Volleyball clinic? CK High is hosting one from June 1st-3rd right after school in their gym. Stop by the ASB office if you have any questions. 

 

Friday May 22, 2026

  • Today is our Cubs Got Courage Variety Show! Reminder that you need to be in your 6th period class right now. That teacher will take you to the PAC to watch our amazing Cubs perform and then you will head to Advisory for the last part of the day. There will be no bells, to make sure you listen to your teachers. 
  • 7th graders, your field trip packets are due today! If you want to go to the shipyard with the rest of the 7th grade class, turn them in today at the counseling office!
  • Spirit week is next week! There’s no school Monday, so Tuesday is Pink Out, Wednesday is Tropical, Thursday is School Colors, and Friday is Twin/Multiple Day (or wear the color black)!
  • Make sure you check the lost and found for your missing items. All water bottles not collected today will be donated.
