Thursday April 23, 2026

  • Reminder that we are on a half day schedule today! Advisory will be at the end of the day after 6th period. If you have any questions, ask your teacher to the office. 
  • Your Ck Cross Country team ran a competitive race against Kingston, Woodward, and Fairview at yesterday’s meet at Kingston. Varsity finishers for our girls were S.P., O.A., A.G, K.F, and C.W.! S.P wont 1st place in the girls race. Go Girls! Varsity finishers for our boys were K.S, G.G, M.B, J.S, and J.M.! K.S won 1st place in the boys race. Go Boys!
  • Our football team has their first game of the season today against John Sedgwick. Wish them luck before you leave today. Football players, reminder that after school gets out, report to the commons – do not leave school. 
  • Sign up for the Cubs Got Courage Variety show in your google classroom! Sign-ups close this weekend. We want to see what amazing talent you have and cheer you on while you perform! Sing, dance, fold origami – whatever your talent is, we want to see it!

 

Wednesday April 22, 2026

  • Cubs! The deadline to sign up for the Variety show is this weekend on the 25th! We want to see our courageous Cubs show off their skills and talent and cheer them on as they perform for their peers. Anyone can sign up – it can be a solo performance or a group effort! Check  your google classroom for information and to sign up – let’s see what our courageous Cubs bring to the stage!
  • Cross Country heads to Kingston Middle today for their meet. Athletes will be leaving class at 1:15 for their bus. Wish them luck!
  • There is an Advisory ASB Council meeting today in Mr. Platten’s room. Reps please head there after 2nd period – passes will be delivered this morning. 
  • There is a Care Cub meeting during Advisory as well
  • Crochet Club is meeting after school today. Looking forward to seeing you there!
  • There is an Indigenous Student Union meeting in the Library during Advisory 

 

Tuesday April 21, 2026

  • Volleyball has their first official game of the season today against Ridgetop! Students will be dismissed from class at 1:25
  • Garden Club is meeting up after school in the Library. If you’re interested in joining, stop by
  • Crochet Club is tomorrow after school! Can’t wait to see you there!
  • Don’t forget that tomorrow is Purple-Up Day! War purple to celebrate all of our students from military families!
  • Reminder Cubs that you have until the end of this month to turn in your Cub Coins for prizes! Starting in May, we will no longer be accepting Cub Coins
  • Like the Mariners? Want to watch them play live? Then why not purchase a ticket for the June 21st game? CKMS is selling Mariners tickets for the weekend after school gets out. Each ticket is $35 so let your parents know and stop by the office to purchase one...or more…

Monday April 20, 2026

  • Attention Crochet Club Members – we have Crochet Club this Wednesday after school. See you there!
  • There’s still time to sign up for clubs if you’re interested and we have a bunch to choose from. Game Club is on Mondays, 8th Grade Legacy Mural/ASL/Garden Club are on Tuesdays, Crochet and Cooking Club are every other Wednesday, STEAM Club is the 1st Wednesday of each month, Awesome Students Den is every other Monday, and Indigenous Student Union/Black Student Union are on alternate Fridays during Advisory. 
  • There is an Executive ASB board meeting today during Advisory. 
  • Cubs, don’t forget to sign up for the Variety Show in your google classroom! Whether it be a solo act or a group effort, we want to see your unique talent and cheer you on. The Variety show will be happening on May 22nd so sign up as soon as possible!

  • Happy Month of the Military Child! Did you know that there are about 1.6 Million military children in the United States who have one or both parents serving in Active Duty, Guard, or Reserve? We will be celebrating “Purple Up Day” where you wear purple on April 22nd to celebrate Students of Military Families!
  • There is an ASB Executive Board meeting today during Advisory

 

Thursday April 16, 2026

  • Football and Volleyball are starting off their seasons strong with jamborees at Klahowya today! They will be leaving after school, so wish them luck before they leave. If you want to cheer them on, their games start at 3:30. 
  • We know there are many of you who are looking forward to the Cub’s Got Courage Variety Show! Check your google classroom to sign up and show us what fun and unique taken you have. 

 

Wednesday April 15, 2026

  • 8th Graders – if you did not get a pink sheet yesterday during the CK High Visit, please stop by the counseling center to pick one up. Please hold on to those pink sheets! You will need them next week. 
  • Don’t forget to turn in your Cub Coins and exchange them for some awesome prizes. The deadline to do so is April 30th. After that, Cub Coins will no longer be accepted. 
  • There is an ASB Board meeting today
  • There is a Cub Crew meeting today during Advisory in the commons. Passes will be delivered this morning. 

 

Tuesday April 14, 2026

  • 8th graders – today is the CK High Experience visit! Super Exciting! Remember that after 1st period is over, go to your 2nd period class for attendance. After attendance is taken, the office will make an announcement to dismiss you. 
  • Cross Country is leaving class today at 1:15 for their bus to Fairview! Wish them luck as they take on other schools from our district in their first meet. 
  • Football and Volleyball have tem photos today – so athletes, make sure you have all your gear ready. 
  • Mariner vs. Red Sox tickets are on sale online and at the ASB window. The game is on June 21st and tickets are $35 each. Limited seats will be available at the 100 level. 
  • Garden Club is happening after school today – meet in the Library once class is over. If you are interested in joining, ask Mrs. Tell for more information. 
  • Cubs! Do you have a talent you’ve been waiting to share? Can you sing, dance, perform magic, tell jokes, or do something totally unique? Then it’s your time to shine! Cub’s Got Courage – our CKMS Variety Show – is coming on May 22nd! We are looking for brave Cubs ready to take the stage and show off their talents in front of the whole school community. Sign-ups are opening soon, so start thinking about your act and who you might want to perform with. Whether it’s a solo performance or group act, we want to see the creativity, talent, and courage that makes CKMS amazing! Stay tuned for sign-up details coming soon. 

 

Monday April 13, 2026

  • Still need to buy a yearbook? Let your parents know they are available online and at the ASB office from now until the end of the school year! Get them while you can before they run out. 
  • There is an ASB executive board meeting today during Advisory
  • Tomorrow Cross Country is heading over to Fairview for their first meet of the season. Head over for their 4pm start as they take on Klahowya, Fairview, and Ridgetop!
