Last week, students participated in a Principal-led training on Harassment-Intimidation-Bullying (HIB). District policy, reporting and investigation procedures for HIB were reviewed. However, we spent most of our time together focusing on what our culture is "for" -- being kind with each other so support a "culture of BELONGING through DIGNITY." Here's a glimpse of some of what was shared with your student:

We are meeting all CKMS Cubs through ELA class visits to the library. ELA classes visit the library every two weeks where students have a library lesson (book talks, digital citizenship, internet safety, research skills) and book check-out time. The library is the “go-to” place for students with questions/concerns about chromebooks.

CKMS is a "late-start" secondary school. To ensure ALL staff are able to attend their district-level department meetings, CKMS will be operating on a "half-day" schedule for October 9, January 22, and April 23. Students will be dismissed @ 11:55A on those dates.
